Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. Do Hospital Community Benefit Requirements Help or Hurt Public Health Activities in a Community? Investigation of community benefit practices in the United States among 501(c)3 hospitals (Co-PI with Jesse Goldner JD, $150,000/18 months, 1/14/2010).

University of Michigan - Kidney Epidemiology and Cost Center. The design, development, and implementation of an improved prospective payment system for the treatment of end stage kidney disease. Work was performed as a graduate student under direction of CMS and principal investigator. (PI: Richard Hirth, $1,940,000, 9/2006-9/2011).

University of Michigan Health System. Analysis of the tax, employment, and business volume impacts the health system has on the local economy. Contract work was performed as a graduate student under the principal investigator. (PI: Jack Wheeler, 2007).

Washtenaw Community Health Organization. Contract work producing financial projections and a feasibility analysis of the expansion of the county’s health care programs. (PI: Jason Turner, $1,500, 2007).
